While the level cap will stay at 100, there is a new kind of level known as ‘Peak Levels’.
To unlock them you’ll have to complete the quest ‘Crossing the Mountain Path’ from Leya Peak in the Hall of the Eye of Wisdom in Varanas. Once you’ve unlocked it, 1/100th of the experience points (XP) that you collect will be applied to your new Peak Level.
Peak values are linked to bonus buffs for movement speed, gold and drop rate as well as attribute increases for your character.

New Gear[ | ]
As in every new zone, there are powerful items that you can equip your character with. You can get new pieces of equipment from merchants, quests, by crafting and of course, in the New Pantheon.

When you achieve a Peak Level, you will see a matching Effect appear in your Effects Bar.

On 2/10/2022 the maximum Peak Level was raised to 20.
Peak Hunting System[ | ]
Introduced with Patch 7.4.0.2904 on 3/12/2020.
The new Peak Hunting System has been added.
- It's meant to provide additional ways of obtaining the items required for unlocking Peak Levels (completing [100] Crossing the Mountain Path).
- All players with the level above 20 can visit The Mystery Hermit in Howling Mountains, outside of Logar.
- The Mystery Hermit will announce a hunting mission on the hour every 2 hours. There are currently 60 different Peak Hunt quests.
- Fulfilling the given task in said period of time will grant
Peak Fragments x3 as a reward. The first three people who report back after the hunt will receive an additional Peak Fragments x10.
- Note: Once the time runs out, the quest will automatically disappear, whether or not it has been completed.
- Peak Fragments x12 can be exchanged for a Ic Endless Star Energy from The Mystery Hermit's Companion. Peak Fragments x36 will get you all 3 items you need for [100] Crossing the Mountain Path.
- Once you have completed [100] Crossing the Mountain Path, The Mystery Hermit's Companion will offer a quest, [100] Hunting Experience, which rewards a Peak Experience Orb containing 50,000 points (Peak Experience Points}.
Peak Hunt (Quest Series)[ | ]
When your Primary and Secondary classes are both at the level cap of 100 you will receive a message directing you to speak with Leya Peak in the Hall of the Eye of Wisdom in Varanas. Thus starts [100] Crossing the Mountain Path. You must complete this quest before you will start earning XP towards your Peak Level. There is a way to collect the three items you need without fighting these three Bosses. See Peak Hunting System for information.

Patch 7.4.0.2914 Adjustments[ | ]
Pushed Live on June 18, 2020.
- Changed the price of Ic Endless Star Energies to Peak Fragment x12 (from 300).
- The experience needed for each of the Peak Levels has been cut in half.
- Peak Experience Orbs have been added to The Mystery Hermit's Companion in exchange for fragments as an additional Peak Experience Points source.
- Peak Experience Orbs can be obtained by completing daily quests.
- These 4 daily quests are unlocked in succession, so to exchange for bigger Peak Experience Orbs the player needs first to complete the previous quests.
- Please note: Peak Experience Orbs are NOT affected by EXP Boost events (they will always grant the same amount of Peak EXP).
Patch 7.4.0.2989 Adjustments[ | ]
Changes went live on 9/24/2023
Adjustments were made to this zone to make it more playable across all servers.
- Reduced monster levels in New Pantheon Normal Mode (z255) and Hard Mode (z254) to 105
- Changed required level in Peak Hunt quests to match the target boss level
- Granted additional experience when completing Peak Hunt quests if Peak Level is already unlocked:
- 1,500,000 peak experience if boss is below level 25
- 2,500,000 peak experience if boss is below level 50 but above 25
- 4,000,000 peak experience if boss is below level 75 but above 50
- 6,000,000 peak experience if boss is below level 100 but above 75
Peak Hunt Missions[ | ]
All Peak Hunt missions are the same; Kill the Target in Zone (NORMAL difficulty) then report back to The Mystery Hermit to earn 3 (or 13) 
Peak Fragments.
† With patch 7.4.0.2908, 5 Peak Hunt quests were removed, and 5 new Peak Hunt quests were added.
†† On 9/14/2023 additional XP was added to all Peak Hunting quests depending on the level of the target/boss.
