Main Way of Playing[ | ]

The Scout / Priest has a ranged support role designed around preventing damage and providing consistent healing. Aesthetically, it fits the idea of keeping an eye out on allies, making sure they're safe and healthy. Key attribute for a Scout / Priest are Dexterity, Stamina, and Wisdom; more specifically, Physical Attack and Mana Points, the latter of which is to have a large mana pool for both of its classes abilities.

Key abilities include Shot, Vampire Arrows, Mana Drain Shot, Snipe, and Neck Strike.

Skill ran new35-4 Vampiric Transformation 35 Transforms the blood drawn by your Vampire Arrows into heals for your own group members.

If Vampire Arrows hits, the Scout and party members within 100 range of the Scout gain Vampiric Transformation for 10 seconds. Every 2 seconds, this buff restores 4.0 HP, plus 0.92 HP per level of Vampire Arrows, subject to the Scout's healing ability and crits, and a flat 3.0% of each person's maximum HP.

Skill ran new40-4 Target Neck 40 Extends the range of your Neck Strike, but requires long range weapons.

Neck Strike's range increases from 50 to 150, but a ranged weapon must be equipped to use it.

Skill ran new45-4 Drums of War 45 Each time you hit your target with a Shot, it instantly increases the Critical Physical Hit Rate and Critical Magical Hit Rate of party members near you. Effective for 8 seconds.

(After the effect has ended it cannot be triggered again for 15.0 seconds.)

Skill ran new50-9 Aggro Lead 50 35 focus Instant 60 seconds 200 Using Shot while Aggro Lead is in effect triggers Secret Hatred, which lasts for 10.0 seconds. While Secret Hatred is in effect, you can transfer your aggro to a party member through the power of the wind.

Aggro Lead is in effect for 20 seconds, during this time Physical Damage and Magical Damage suffered by this party member are decreased by 2.0%. (Cannot be cast on yourself.)

(In order to transfer aggro to a party member your target needs to be within a range of 500.)

Skill ran pri60 Revival Engraving 60 Increases your companions' Received Healing by 3...6%, reduces Received Physical Damage and Magical Damage by 3...6 % after a target is hit by your Mana Drain Shots.

Tips and Tactics[ | ]

  • A Scout / Priest may have some healing abilities, but it isn't a healing class. Use your abilities to help mitigate damage and support the healer in a group.
  • Scout / Priests not only assist healers, but also assist tanks when it comes to their ability to hold aggro. This makes this combination a good choice for players wanting to be a great team player.
  • Switching to a Priest / Scout gives the player a stronger healing role, while gaining some damage-dealing abilities to solo with.

Notes[ | ]

s/p is a good utility combo whose elites are all geared towards helping everyone in the party.

vamp arrow heals 3% + random ( based on heal bonus ) every other tick. ie tick 1 - 3%, tick 2 - random, tick 3 - 3%, etc...

aggro lead gives you & one other person +10% physical and magical dmg for 20 secs.

+20% attack speed buff

+% patk buff when shot hits

mana shot gives +% hp shield to everyone in the party

etc...

I normally use the cibel set + healing cloth that has heal bonuses when I run this build as well as T8 statted Jadefang sword and T8 statted bow.

As long as everyone stays around the s/p, there are continous heals & buffs.
