History

Impact was founded on December 15th 2011 by Coor and Necroraider, even though Coor had founded the guild and let Necroraider be leader. The members mostly originally derived from guild Angels, which was led by Coka and Laky. Due to inactivity Necroraider had temporary taken over the lead but decided to quit after. The plan was to form a new guild and be active. The name was an idea from Necroraider, after the suggestion of 'Hellkeepers' by Coor was rejected.

About

There were no minimum requirements and many people were free to join if they whispered Necroraider, who often shouted in world chat for recruitment. Coor mainly maintained the castle and was responsible for getting Siege War. It didn't take very long until Impact got known on the server and nearly every day a few mercenaries were recruited to play Siege War along. Eventually there was a stable member core of 50 guild members in total and often 10 to 15 people online at the same time.

The goals were to become a good guild in the future, being able to run high instances like RT and KT. Also by increasing the member base and doing Siege War often, the guild had a very bright perspective.

Staff & Ranks

Necroraider's theory of staff was as following:

1: Guild Keeper

2: Guild Leader

3: Colonel

4: Captain

5: Lieutenant

6: Officer

7: Experienced Soldier

8: Core Soldier

9: Retired Soldier

10: New Soldier

Since Necroraider was the guild leader he originally wanted to be on rank 1 but since Coor was required to do certain actions like maintaining the castle and being able to register for Siege Wars, there was decided that Coor would become 'guild keeper' and in theory second leader, but have more physical abilities than the first leader.

Staff was divided into 4 parts: High, normal, low and trial. With 'army' as theme, it would respectively be Colonel, Captain, Lieutenant and Officer.

For members there was thought of New Soldier for everyone who just entered, Core Soldier for fairly active members and Experienced Soldier for the more advanced members. Retired Soldier was originally meant for retired guild members, but since very few persons hold the rank it became the 'trashcan' rank for retired members, alts, inactive members and mercenaries.

Conflict & Disband

The journey of Impact did not last very long. Not even a month after its foundation there was an internal leadership conflict between Coor and Necroraider. Necroraider felt that he as leader had the right to get the first rank, which was kept by Coor. According to Necroraider the first rank was only given to Coor to maintain the guild castle and register for Siege War, but since Necroraider felt he could also maintain the guild castle himself and that since recently second-ranked people can also register for Siege War he demanded the rank. Coor was also accused to neglecting the well-being of the guild and having built a second guild vault for his personal storage. Coor refused to give Necroraider the rank because he felt that he could not trust him and he was afraid to potentially be kicked after he had founded the guild.

Necroraider did not get the rank he wanted and eventually left, leaving everything behind. Coor decided to continue, first by promoting Zombiejesus and Jumbojim to co-leader and by setting up a mercenary system for Siege War. A few people followed Necroraider to a new guild called Immortali, including Eawa, Vestica, Fastidious and a few more. Unfortunately it did not last long. Two weeks after Necroraider had left there was decided that the guild should merge with another guild because the complete perspective was gone. Eventually most members of Impact went to Dominions.

Impact nowadays

Coor still has an alt (another character) of him in the guild that keeps control. The guild had reached level 9 and also had a very low rating in Siege War of usually between 400 and 500. It is no longer recruiting.

This used to be the recruitment topic on the official RoM forums: Impact - Raids, SW and Fun
