So What Are the Rejects?[ | ]

We are a guild of folks that just like to help each other out. We have experience playing on other servers, where quite a few of us had reached level 50/50. We came to Osha to be with each other and a chance to start over again. Some of us have kids, and as such can't play that often. So, we wanted to offer a safe environment for people that have lives other than gaming; a place where you wouldn't be kicked out of the guild if you didn't show up for a week. We don't care if you have fifteen alts that you want guilded, and we don't care if you aren't level 50. We don't care if you are fifteen years old and we don't care if you are sixty years old. We are just willing to help out those that need help, and provide friendships to those who want them.

What does Reject mean?[ | ]

Main Entry: reject
Pronunciation: ri-'jekt
Function: transitive verb
-to refuse to accept, acknowledge, or grant

We have refused to accept that a guild must act a certain way. We instead let people be who they want to be while providing a safe and fun environment for all ages. We refuse to accept that you cannot have meaningful friendships in a game, and instead we form friendships that can last a lifetime. We have refused to accept that a toon is just a toon. Instead, we believe it is an extension of you.

We have no rules stating you must play daily, weekly, or even monthly. We have no rules stating that you must be of a certain age to be in our guild. We don't push people to rush to level 50.

We are not your normal guild, and hence we are Rejects.

Okay so that was confusing, can you explain further?[ | ]

We are a new guild on Osha. Several of us have played on different servers in the past, and have moved to Osha for a chance to play together and have some fun. As such, we have no castle yet, and we aren't rushing to get one. We are casual players. We are friends, we are family, and we want to maintain that environment. Having said that we do require that a potential member groups with one of our guild at least once before being accepted. We want to see what type of person you are. If this sounds like a fit for you please stop by our forums and apply by clicking "Become a Reject" on the left hand side. Try to give us your common play times so we can catch you in game!

Rules[ | ]

1. Help fellow guild members in quests and instances as much as possible, as they will then be happier to help you in return. Give and you shall receive.

2. Be courteous to all members and players in the game. Not all people get along, just try to handle any issues in a mature manner. This also means that being disrespectful to others in zone chat is a no no.

3. Respect other guilds in the game. They are in the game to enjoy it just as you do, help them if you can. Make friends, not enemies.

4. Watch your language in guild chat and in Ventrilo. You shouldn't need a reason but some people are offended by language. This goes along with respect.

Loot Rules[ | ]

First it is important to understand Need and Greed. Need is something that you can put on right now and it will improve your character. For example, a higher level staff for a priest or mage, that benefits them more than what they have now - That would be needed.

Greed is something that you want, but it may not benefit your character right then. For example, a piece of chain that will upgrade your character in 10 levels. An item that you like the stats on, but really doesn't improve you.

The Guild follows the following guideline for how loot is distributed.

  1. Need is to be rolled only for your current primary class. If you are playing a priest with a secondary knight then you would roll need on priest upgrades. If you are playing knight with your secondary priest, then you would roll need on upgrades for knight. If you need something you should be wearing it.
  2. Greed can be rolled for secondary classes and stats. If an item drops that has a stat that you can Transmute for an upgrade to your gear, then you can roll greed on it.
  3. Everything else is passed on.
  4. Plate wearers loot first. If there is a knight, they always get a first grab. Plate repair costs are astronomical, and as such they will get a first grab at white items on the bodies. As an aside, as a plate wearer don't be a greedy gus. While your costs are high, looting the entire body of every mob killed in the run is just a bit rude. There should be some balance here. Also, a lot of times your priests will not get time to loot due to healing demands. If you know that you are coming up to a lull, leave a body for your priests so they can get something as well.

Important Notes:

  • We do not allow greed for you to make a quick buck. If everyone passes and an item comes to you by chance, then you can sell that item or do with it what you please.
  • Quest items are special. It should be spelled out before the run who is going to get what quest item. This mostly applies to Black Codex gear.
  • FA (Forsaken Abbey) and NoM (Necropolis of Mirrors) Crystals. If they benefit either your primary or your secondary, you can roll need on them: otherwise you pass. Officers will greed the extras to mail to Anann or Waed at the close of the run. One officer will designate himself or herself to do this.
  • Cards for the Monster book. These may only be greeded. This does not upgrade your character and no one should roll need on it.
  • Class specific gear. For example, this is mage gear. Under no circumstances should a priest be rolling on that. It doesn't matter what your other class is, if it benefits a priest and you are a mage then don't roll on it. If it benefits a rogue and you are a scout, don't roll on it. If in doubt - ask.
